ZAP CA

ZAP CA Is the thinnest CA in the ZAP product line. The penetrating or wicking ability of this glue makes it a favorite of modelers around the world. Balsa wood is bonded almost instantaneously, with the glue sometimes traveling several inches into the parts. The consistent performance and strength of the glue is what sets it apart from other brands. This product is also widely used throughout the hobby industry; the thin formula allows the glue to go where most cannot. Some uses besides hobbies and crafts include; jewelry manufacturing and repair, taxidermy, mold and pattern making, furniture refinishing and antique repair, auto detailing, archery, darts, dental molds and patterns, and ceramic repair. Wood turners like the penetrating ability for hardening soft areas and preventing the propagation of cracks. Furniture refinishers can count on ZAP CA to wick under loose veneer without having to remove the piece and chance damage. This glue is FAST! It travels fast and sets up fast. It will bond skin instantly. Because of this glues wicking ability it will travel along an edge or seam for several inches. It will penetrate deep in to a crack just by applying the glue at one end. When bonding balsa wood, hold the parts together and apply a small amount of glue at the seam where the parts meet. The glue will penetrate the joint and wick into the balsa parts. Don’t hold the balsa too close to the joint or you will find that you are glued to your parts. For porous products you may have to apply more glue to get the strongest bond, it would be best to try bonding some test pieces to determine the proper amount. When sealing and hardening wood parts use in a well ventilated area and work on small sections. Do not use kicker with this glue, in most cases the glue will have set before you can apply the accelerator. For critical applications test sample joints for designed strength requirements.

A little goes a long way! More glue doesn't always mean a stronger joint. Only apply enough glue to evenly coat the area to be bonded when the parts are joined. Many times glue needs to be applied only to one part. Working or positioning time will vary depending on the material. ZAP GEL

ZAP GEL Is the thickest and strongest CA glue available. The tube comes with a long tapered tip allowing precise application of just the right amount of CA. From small pin point drops to the ability to lay down a bead of glue makes it very popular for many different hobbies and industries. ZAP GEL a gap filling formula, it will fill open pockets in porous woods and materials with one application. To speed the cure time ZIP KICKER may be sprayed on the joint after the glue has been applied. When forming a fillet or filling a large gap spray ZIP KICKER directly on the glue, it will start to harden immediately first forming a hard outer shell with the inside curing at a slower rate creating an extremely strong bond. When using on fiberglass cloth or fabric spread it across the material with an old playing card, business card, or a soft plastic spreader. The curing time will vary depending on the thickness of the glue. When spread out thinly it will cure much faster than a thick bead. ZIP KICKER

ZIP KICKER Is the best way to accelerate the cure time of all brands of super glues. When sprayed directly on a glued joint it forces the immediate cure of the CA glue. Thick or slow style glues form an instant hard outer shell when sprayed with ZIP KICKER, the catalytic action begins curing the remaining liquid CA at an accelerated rate from the outside in, creating a strong bond. This action allows the creation of small to very large fillets and the ability to fill large gaps or cracks. Wood turners love this ability and often are able to progressively fill in large cracks and save the piece they are working on. ZIP KICKER will not harm most materials making perfect to use not only on wood but various plastics, metals, paints and fabrics.

A little goes a long way! Because ZIP KICKER cures CA glue by a chemical reaction, you can precisely control how fast the glue sets up. Use a small amount to start the reaction at one spot and it will continue until the glue is set. The more ZIP KICKER you apply to the glue, the faster it will cure. Once the entire surface of the glue has been sprayed with kicker and the reaction has started, adding more kicker will not speed up the cure rate. In hard to reach areas or when trying to join parts that are not porous you can pre-treat one of the parts to be joined with ZIP KICKER, apply ZAP GLUE to the other and join the two together. When working with balsa wood spraying ZIP KICKER on the back side of thin sheeting can set the CA underneath. Even a part treated with ZIP KICKER and allowed to dry will speed the cure time of any CA that comes in contact with it.

DO NOT SPRAY ZIP KICKER AROUND YOUR BOTTLES OF CA. A SMALL AMOUNT OF KICKER ON THE OPENING OF YOUR CA BOTTLE CAN AND WILL SET OFF AND HARDEN THE ENTIRE BOTTLE.
